Carribean Orange Pork Chops

for the more daring...

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) tomato catsup
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) oil
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) paprika
  • 2 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • 4 boneless pork loin chops
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

Combine first 7 ingredients in a double plastic bag. Remove 2 tbsp (25 mL) of marinade; set aside. Add chops to remaining marinade in bag to coat. Seal bag and let stand at least half an hour. Remove chops from marinade and pat dry; discard marinade. Grill chops over low heat for 30 minutes or until done, basting occasionally with reserved materials. Garnish with cilantro. Serves 4.

Alternate suggestion

If you can't barbecue, try pan frying the marinated chops with sliced onions.
